A CPS Sketch!

I think I'm nearing the end of my Valentine's kick (I have NEVER made this many
Valentine's cards in my LIFE!) so here are the last few
lovey-dovey cards you'll see. (Hopefully....)

Becuase this week's sketch is sponsored by Papertrey Ink, I thought I would use
my favourite set by them, Polka Dot Basics, to create a little interest on the smokey paper.

The two hearts were cut with a Cuttlebug die. The black heart is felt, and the pink heart is PTI ink paper.
I like the cluster of "stuff" in the centre.. It's a nice focal point.

I did another card that I don't like that much:

I tried the Coredinations cardstock again.. I've tried it before and didn't like it. I tried it again...
And I still don't like it. :( Maybe it's because I'm starting to gravitate towards cleaner
papers and clean designs, I don't know... Maybe it's the colour I used.. I don't know..

What do you think?

Supplies for card #1: PTI products: Raspberry Fizz paper and twill, Smokey Shadow paper, Polka Dot Basic stamp set; Patterned Paper is KI Memories (i think!!); Making Memories pin, Basic Grey button, bulk felt from Michaels.
Supplies for card #2: Patterned paper by My Mind's Eye, PTI Pure Poppy paper, black/yellow cardstock by Coredinations; Ribbon by American Crafts; button and twine are generic items.

  1. I love the papertrey card! The dots are hot as usual.

I really can't get happy about the cordinations either. I do love the design of your card and the red/yellow/black for valentines day is really fun. But I'm the same way, the cordinations paper always trips me up. (although I think your card is perfectly cute here)
