I waited. I stalked. I ordered the minute appeared. I opened it up as soon as it arrived. I got some amazing results!
What am I talking about? The Cloud Stencil from MFT, of course! I could have made something similar out of paper, but I love the stencil material and how easy it is to slip and slide around on it with a sponge....
I added some splatters with water (I used Distress Inks and they're reactive to water) as well as some splatters of glimmer mist.

Hi there, it's Tobi here with a DIY planner using a traveller's journal and of course, SRM stamps.
Here are some things that have added up to my current planner situation:
~ I've tried the planner thing... I don't get it, OR I'm not good at it.
~ I've recently gotten into hand lettering and have started to collect journals to practice in.
~ I had a very stressful month and kept a notebook of everything i had to remember and keep track of and it really worked for me.
So, because of these factors, I thought i would continue with the notebook/hand-lettering/journal format, but organize it a little better using various stamps and supplies.
So I've got my day divided into three zones:
1) School (I'm a teacher)
2) After school - which includes clubs and rehearsals/performances
3) dinner (we have meal-plans)
As much as I can, I try to fill in the spots using bounce lettering (the style of calligraphy I am working on) so I can practice as many letter combos as possible.
Here's a mostly blank page so you can see how it looks before I fill it out:
Thanks for stopping by, I hope this was inspiring!
Supplies:
Whoooooo says owls have to be black and brown?
Not me!
No idea why, but I went with kind of an ombre wing on these beauties.
I made a few different designs with the same basic layout:
I don't normally make duplicates (boring), but when I do I like to at least change the papers and background colours a little.
You know what's cool? This set is only USD $2.99!
Happy Father's Day!
When I do masculine cards I try to keep it simple and not cutesy, and I think this fits the bill... This was an easy card to put together because all I did was die-cut all of the shapes in the Looking Dapper Thinlets Die Set - Sizzix.
Each little shape is popped up with tiny pop-dots
I paired it with a sentiment from Lawn Fawn to finish it off.
Speaking of Sizzix... There's a really huge contest in right now!

Hi there! It's time to make a couple of cards for some special students. I love and hate this time of year, I can't wait for summer (and to get back to Canada for a while) but I also don't want to say goodbye to the grads...
Anyway, this is a cute stamp with an AWESOME font and I made it for the current Paper Smooches Challenge: MEN
This cute little elephant and sentiment are from a set called New Beginnings.
I can't wait to use the other stamps in the set - they're all equally adorable.
Elephant was coloured with Copics and I added accents with a pastel chalk pencil.
I just had a self-imposed long weekend (took a personal day) because I just finished a long run of the musical I directed at school and I was pooped!!! But after a couple good sleep-ins and some much needed "ME TIME" I am ready to tackle June!
This card is such an easy one to put together - would be a really great project for a card-set.
The combo of gold glitter and mint green is making my heart sing!
Have a wonderful week!

Happy June!!
For many of you, school's out, and you're starting summer vacation, but here in China (we follow the Canadian school calendar at my school) we are here until the bitter end: June 30th! Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
But instead of being sorry myself, I've gotten my butt in gear and started my end-of-the-year thank you cards. There are so many people to thank in a school community:
- secretaries
- academic advisors
- administration
- assistants
- librarians
- colleagues leaving...
This card is kind of a general "I'm happy for you" card, but with flair!
The gems are cut out of DecoFoil adhesive foam and I used multi-coloured foil on them. So pretty!!
