I hope everyone had a wonderful Hallowe'en! My little family had a great day from beginning to end. Starting with chocolate-mint waffles for breakfast followed by pumpkin carving, movie watching, then putting on costumes. We took Phoenix trick-or-treating to a couple of different destinations (our house, his Uncle's, my parent's) and it was a great night! I hope everyone had a wonderful day!
Special Note:
If you commented on the Mint Motif Design Team announcement on my blog or any of the other ladies blogs, Kimberly has drawn the winnersand she announced them on her blog, For the Love of Paper!!
You have to email her by tomorrow, so go look for your name...
Bye-bye!
That's right! I've been invited to serve on the Mint Motif design team! If you haven't heard about Mint Motif yet, I'll tell you a little about this great new stamp line!
If you open up any stamping/card magazine you will see the name Kimberly Crawford (no relation!) on many a page credited with designed some amazing cards. Kimberly made the awesome decision to start her own stamp line partnered with i {heart} papers and has been successful in designing some incredible, functional, modern stamps. I am honoured to be serving on the team with some very creative card-makers that I'd like to introduce:

I've been a busy little bee packaging up a bunch of my stash to sell at Clipper Street's humongous garage sale!
The funny thing about it, is I'm working in the store and can't man my own table, so Ian (my hubby) is actually doing it! I hope he does ok, and doesn't scare too many ladies away!! (Just kidding Ian!) I am thankful I have such a supportive husband. Not everyone would brave throngs of women like this. I hope he comes out unscathed!
I have made little packs of coordinating paper with embellishments to sell, a bunch of stamps, about 70 of my cards that I've made over the past2 months, and other various things (you know how it is...). So if you're in the 'hood, come on down to Clipper Street and say hi to me/Ian!!

| This was the LAST garage sale in July and it was FUN! It inspired me to let go of a lot of my un-used goodies. |

call and on a whim I applied.. Guess what??
I MADE IT!!
The team Jenyfur has put together is star-studded and chock-full
of incredible talent..
Tania Willis Tanis Giesbrecht Carole Kisch Deana Boston Jing-Jing Nickel
Gina Hanson Amy Heller Becky Williams Raechelle Bellus Norma Kennedy
Helen Miles Nina Brackett Kathy Racoosin Jen Martakis

To celebrate I made a few projects with SRM Sticker Sentiments:
The sentiment is a sticker on some patterned paper and cut out to
look like an expensive patterned tag!
I made this box to house my hubby's Valentine's present. There's
a border sticker along the bottom, and LOVE is a sticker too!
I am SO excited about 2010 with the SRM DT and Susan, the owner.
SO many great things are to come and I am so honoured to share in the excitement!

PS... Canadian Alexandre Bilodeau won the men's moguls at the Vancouver Olympics. It's the first time Canada has won a gold medal on home soil!! We are having a big party up here, and hoping this is just the beginning of
our gold streak! YAY Canada!!!
I saw a posting for a DT call for The Stamping Boutique and
my jaw hit the floor. The images are
so beautiful and just BEGGING to be coloured with Copics.
Tracey sells mostly digital stamps and this is an area that I am
very eager to try, so I said YES to their invitation to be on the team!!!
Read about it here, and look out for new images featured on my
blog over the next few months!!

It was my pleasure and honour to be asked to be a guest designer at the
They sent me the cutest little stamps to play with and this is what I came up with:
The bubble background was stamped in Versamark on the kraft cardstock. Isn't it so striking? I love versamark on kraft... The piggies were stamped in Brilliance and coloured with Koh-I-Noor pencils and Gamsol. Papers by: Papertrey Ink, Bazzill, Stampin' Up (and dot is unknown.. it was a scrap..).
The ladybugs were stamped in Momento (Tuxedo Black) and coloured in with Copic markers. I added some black bling to some of the dots with Kaiser jewels and white cheeks with a gel pen. Papers: Papertrey ink, felt ribbon by American Crafts.
I stamped the sentiment first, then decided to add the ladybug stamp in the background. I stamped it in black, stamped it off once (stamped it on a scrap) then stamped it in Versamark. I coloured in very subtle red highlights with copic markers.
Papers by: Stampin' Up (kraft), and all others by Papertrey Ink.

I'm so excited to announce that I've been asked to teach at the Crop for Kids event that will take place in October in Abbotsford, BC. I'm trying to cook up something really special so I can offer a fun and exciting class, and I hope to see and meet a bunch of you there. I love that all of the teachers are donating their time, and ALL of the products are donated. So many people under one roof giving for a great cause.
Here's the link for more info, and I'll keep you informed as more news and information become available.
