I am so excited to be a part of the new releases from Annabelle Stamps. Andrea has been hard at work for the past few months re-branding her stamps and designing some knock-out sets.
It was hard to choose which image to colour from this set but ultimately it was this sweet bird on the cherry blossom branch that stole my heart.
A little google search for birds on cherry blossoms lead me to colour this little guy (girl?) blue and orange. I think it turned out pretty well and I thank the world for google because I am NOT a "birder" by any stretch!!

Good morning! It's time for another great Deconstructed Sketch.
This is a darling image, isn't it?
The image and sentiment are from the There She Goes set called Poultry In Motion. There are so many cute images in the set and some of them are "interactive." I masked the oven mitts and pie to appear in front of the farm girl. I'm not usually a fan of masking, but this one wasn't too bad!

I loved how she used the burlap as the background. Very cool…
So…. baby wipes! To make my background I stamped a background (Fabulous by There She Goes) with VersaMark ink on WATERCOLOUR PAPER and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I scribbled some Gelatos on top:

If you’re curious about Gelatos they’re that easy! They just melt with a little moisture. They’re awesome!!

The other week Dina Wakely came to my LSS (Clipper Street) and although I wasn't able to take any of her classes, I bought her book and checked out all of the products brought in for her classes... It was overwhelming, but I really love all the new stuff she introduced.
I love how her book is set up like lessons. She introduces a concept, shows a bunch of examples, then challenges the reader to tackle the techniques.

I was so thrilled when Susan from SRM Stickers asked me to come back and design for her for a little while, but all good things must come to an end. This is my final SRM project and I'm going out with a pretty little card and gift:

I have long been a fan of Andrea and her designs at Annabelle Stamps and was so happy and surprised to be asked to design for her company. There are some A-MA-ZING stamps being released in the next couple months and I am really excited to work with them.
Until then, though, I get to work with some of her existing designs, and I made a couple of cards!!!
This stamp is called Lil Bee's Big Flowers. I made these cards for the secretaries at my school. All four of them are the sweetest ladies and each one of them save my a$$ on a weekly or semi-weekly basis!! I hope this little bee makes them smile.

I am not the biggest "techie" in the world so I haven't quite figured out how to do voice-overs, but hopefully you enjoy a fast-forward look at my process. Personally, I enjoy seeing the order in which copic colourers use their pens, so my hope is that you take something away from my little video! I also do a little colouring with a black pastel chalk pencil at the end - it's always my favourite part!

This is the newest stamp set from the Greenhouse Society collection. The Bouquet - Greenhouse Society clear stamp set consists of six clear stamps on a 3" x 4" storage sheet.
The how to: I first stamped and embossed the image and sentiment with white embossing powder, then I had some fun misting the watercolour cardstock with ink sprays. Couldn't be more easy... If not a little messy! lol... The trick to getting the water-stained look is to leave pools of ink on the cardstock instead of mopping it up - that way when it dries (or when you hit it with a heat tool) the ink dries nice and dark in spots.

Today we're featuring some classic TSG sets on the TSG Blog and I chose to feature Flava Sava. My dad has always had a moustache, so for me daddys and moustaches go hand-in-hand. He wasn't around on Father's Day, so I'm going to give this to him the next time I see him!

The Stampendous! team is etching it this week with Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream and today is the big blog hop!!! You won’t even believe how easy this technique is. You’ll want to practice a bit on inexpensive pieces from the thrift store or your recycling barrel, but once you get the hang of it, it’s super easy to make custom, fantastic glassware and home decor items!
If you saw my lantern the other day then you will have seen how easy it was to customize a cheap little item from the dollar store. Today I took a little tea-light holder and added a little etching cream magic.
So this was a little experiment with some masking tape and twine...
I put some masking tape on the glass first and I didn't like the results so I decided to wrap some twine around it and cover it with the etching cream.
The result was this cool texture! I think it would be fun to experiment with different materials!!

Hi there! Wowzers I've been busy this past week. It's been slow around the blog because I have been under a pile of marking, report cards, final concerts and recitals but as of last night: I AM DONE!! Thank goodness for small miracles!
