I decided to use some scraps to make my card (which always warms my heart) including some October Afternoon patterned paper. I cut the bee out with the Slice and my newest acquisition, the Hand Free Kit! If you don't have it and were wondering how well it works, well I'm here to tell you I love it! The magnet that holds the machine in place is SUPER strong and it doesn't budge... So cool!

- I give myself permission to take a break from SCHOOL when I am sick! (this is the hardest thing for me to do...)
- I give myself permission get frustrated that everytime I get sick, I get REALLY sick and develop this HORRIBLE cough and lose my voice. It's THE worst thing on the planet for a choir teacher... *sigh*
It could be worse.. Which brings me to my next point.. I was blog hopping (because I am sick and can't do much more than that) and came across this story about Linda Burnasakorn.
Wow that is some heartbreak! To lead an absolutely normal life, get sick, then wake up from a coma with no feet and no fingers.. It takes my breath away.. I am going to donate to her cause and I hope you can find it in your hearts to do the same. I have NEVER done this on my blog, but her story is so real and heart-wrenching that I couldn't resist spreading the word.
PS.... Look at my hit counter.. I'm about to hit a HUGE milestone. Do you think I should celebrate?

Today and tomorrow the SRM Design team is hosting a "Bunny Hop"! The Hoppers will be required to hop to each blog and return to SRM Stickers to comment that they've completed the Hop. A random commenter will be chosen from each day's hop participants to receive a SRM Stickers Prize Package. The Hop closes at Midnight on Sunday night, May 2nd.
I recieved the BoBunny Jazmyne line that is full of rich purples, lilac, greens and brown,
and here are a few cards I made to showing off SRM and BoBuuny!
There is some awesome woodgrain papers in the Jazmyne line that I thought
would be perfect for a man-card! I used stickers from this set:
This card I played with my Copics a little and used some BoBunny bling in the centres of the flowers. The sentiment is from this set:
"Scrapbook and Cards Today" magazine. On the left are "ruffles" that I sewed into place. I curled the edges up by wrapping the paper around a pencil. Here's a close-up:

Hi! You know, I feel quilty when I don't post for a few days. I see other bloggers get all stressed out about posting every single day because if they don't, THEIR READERS STALK THEM VIA EMAIL!! Now.. I know that I'm not that popular, but I hope that you guys don't mind if my life gets too busy and I don't post for a few days.. This past week I battled a severe headache and just didn't feel like creating. Over the weekend I started to feel a little better and was able to work on some assignments! Here are some of the creations I can share with you now...
This week's CPS Sketch is super easy!
I just flipped it on its side and got this!

Paper piecing and a few touches of Copic markers lead to the end result of the image!
This pendant has been sitting on my desk for 2 weeks. I made it out of October Afternoon papers and SRM Stickers and just never applied it to a project! So I stuck the "you're the best" sentiment on the green paper, stamped the bubbles in white pigment ink and wiped the ink off of the sticker. I like it!
This card was made for the Cupcake Craft Challenge sponsored by
the Stamping Boutique! The challenge was easy enough, DON'T BE SQUARE!
I used the Princess Gwendolyn image with an SRM Sticker sentiment!
So... don't hate me if I disappear every now and again.. I'm just busy what with being a
full-time high school music teacher, teaching private voice lessons, being a professional pianist and
singer as well as teaching cardmaking classes!!

33 years of me.
Most days I feel like "I'm only 33??"
I love birthdays, I don't know why, but it's true what they say: as you get older
the birthdays get a little more boring and they all start to blur together...
So yah, lately birthdays have been somewhat of a downer.

BUT! I have at least one thing to celebrate today, and it's month
two of my design spot with Anna Wight and Whipper Snapper!

I set out to do three things with these stamps: make colourful, whimsical, HAPPY cards.
This is what I did today (yesterday):
All of the images are so easy to combine,
that's what I had the most fun with.
I have a few more "scene's" waiting to by coloured on my desktop that I
will share with you soon.

Did you see our April Guest Designer Challenge?! This month it's all about circles. We want to see how creative you can get using circles and stickers. All entries must be *new* creations with a circle theme, using stickers (they do not have to be SRM Stickers). Good luck! Here is my circle card, and I made this one
for a teacher! There are a lot of teachers in my life (being that I myself am a teacher
and I work at a school with a staff of 200, plus my son's teachers etc etc..) so I think
I will have no problem gifting this puppy....
- I cut the card base with a Nestabilities die and the Cuttlebug.
- I cut the two inner circles with "classic" Nestabilities dies
- I mounted the SRM Stickers on different papers (the apple is on white and the sentiment is on wood paper)
- I used dimensional adhesive to the main image panels and added the paper clip for "show"
- I added a sentiment to the inside because there are so many great ones included in the sticker sheets!
(I don't know that I'm always optimistic when I'm teaching, but okay.... lol)

It’s almost the most TAXING day of the year so in “celebration” of tax day our challenge this week is to make a card using taxes as your inspiration. For now taxes aren't a scary time for me. I still have University tuition I use as write-offs and I think I'm gonna get a nice return that will help over my income-less summer! So my card is green for MOOLAH!!
