Hello all! I hope you're having a fantastic weekend wherever you are! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Monday Challenge, and this week it's "Trio-tastic", aka, use three of something.

Well hey there! Did everyone have a great Thanksgiving??!! It's pretty funny as a Canadian living in China to watch all of the commotion and excitement happen in the US when Thanksgiving (and Black Friday) roll around! Such a fun way to ring in the holidays!!  Well, I challenged myself to make a unique Thank you card. Okay! Unique!! I thought I would approach it from a colour standpoint, and play around with some fun combinations.

  This all started with the navy cardstock with a little bit of stencilling with white paint. From there, I started grabbing stuff!

  Nuvo drops are all the rage, and I can see why! You can customize the size and they always dry so smooth and shiny!

Hi there. I'm here today with a beautiful and simple friendship card. On November 11th we celebrate Remembrance Day in Canada, so in honour of that day, I used a poppy stamp.


As a Canadian I will always think of a poppy as symbolic of Nov. 11 (Flanders Field etc...) but it is such a beautiful flower on it's own. I added a pale wash of watercolours in the background, and coloured the poppies with Copics using the "no-line" technique. I think it really made the flowers stand out. The black twine was an accent along with the black sentiment and black dots. It "tied" them all together. *wink*

I have so many great stamps in my stash from companies still alive and well, as well as some who had to close their doors. As a crafter we always want to use the newest and shiniest things and tend to forget our old goodies. I just moved and it was a chance for me to re-evaluate my stash, especially considering I moved it all the way from Canada to China, haha... I made a conscious decision to push the old ones to the front and to use them right away. So.....
