Greenhouse Society: Pinecone

The 25th means the Pinecone - Greenhouse Society stamp set is ready to start shipping, and the Technique Tuesday Creative Team has some great projects that showcase it.

I chose to pull out the white embossing powder and my Tombows and watercolour this image. I love using the white EP with winter images because it gives it that frosty look.

Another thing I like about this method: you don't have to stay in the lines!!! Notice how I very imprecisely I coloured the needles? That was intentional and I love how they came out!

The Pinecone - Greenhouse Society stamp set, which consists of six clear stamps on a 3" x 4" storage sheet, is available for purchase by non-members for $12.99 (plus shipping and handling).
If you like botanical-themed stamps, you may want to consider joining the Greenhouse Society. We release a new stamp set every month as part of this collection. Members get the Greenhouse sets for $9.99 each (plus shipping and handling) and enjoy other benefits. Check out the Membership Agreement and FAQ page on our Web site for more details on joining the Greenhouse Society.
Be sure to tune into the blog again on December 15th when we reveal the next Greenhouse Society stamp set.

Quick Painting Post

I shared this on Facebook as soon as I completed it
because I was so happy with how it turned out... I hope you like it!

I painted it for one of Donna Downey's 48 Weeks classes (week 20) and I knew I would want it on a canvas instead of my art journal before I even started, lol...

The Twinery and CardMaker Magazine Blog Hop

Today I am taking part in a fun blog hop with The Twinery and the CardMaker Magazine! After the sad news the other day about Papercrafts it's nice to see we still have a magazine for our industry... Let's keep it that way!

You should have arrived here from Katarina Damm-Blomberg's blog!

My project today is a simple Thank you card that could be given to or given from anyone. I am going to start putting out a little basket of my cards at my school and I want to have some cards there that a guy would feel comfortable giving, and I think this would be one!

The Twinery will be giving away 4 spools of twine - Solid Mandarin, Gold Shimmer, Copper Shimmer, and Solid Maraschino ($60 retail value).
Hoppers can visit the Twinery blog to find out how to enter to win the spools of twine.

Next on the hop is: Piali Biswas - head over there and give her some love!

Wishing You Joy

Technique Tuesday asked me to create something Christmasy with This Tag from the November Fresh Cut Studio set and I put my thinking cap on and came up with these:

And another with a different wood veneer snowflake:

I used the Folding Banner Die for the sentiment and made it pop out a bunch. I love the dimensional effect it gave these little tags! If you can spot the little bit of gold glitter, I die cut the little tag from the folding banner from gold glitter cardstock for a little BLING.

I used the Trendy Trees stamp set for the sentiment. I just LOVE that big "joy!"

Naughty Or Nice: Holiday Animals

Over at the Naughty or Nice Blog we've got a great new challenge,
some fabulous new troublemakers joining the team,
and we're all so excited to reveal the next theme:

Animals and Christmas... What's not to love?! Almost all of my Christmas stamps are animals so I thought it would be a fun challenge - or in my case, not a challenge at all, ha!

So I splurged and ordered something from overseas... It took a month to get here (I totally blame China post, BTW, it left the states within the first few days) and I am so excited to have my new Lawn Fawn stamps here!!
I used a combination of stamps from Joy To The Furballs, Snow Day, and used fun products like Copic markers, glittler, vellum, die cuts, distress inks, and The Twinery Twine

Just a dusting of glitter on the tops of the branches is the perfect touch.

I also thought really hard about making a naughty card.
Really. Hard.

This did not come easy, haha...
I drew the halo and horns on top of the pups and that took me, oh, an hour to decide. *snort*
But eventually my pea-brain came up with something that worked..

So do you want to play along with a great challenge??
