Hi there!!
I'm back in China and getting settled into the new school year.
I'm here today with a project for The Twinery and it's all about DOGS!!
I have two that are currently living with me and they are the light of my life - especially when I get home from work!! Needless to say I've got quite the little collection of dog-themed stamps going and this card uses one of my fav's:

I kept this card really neutral with a POP of colour to keep it on the masculine side. One thing I love about incorporating twine into my cards is it can help to tie-in those random colours in the project:
I only used red on the mallets and the dot on his t-shirt, but by using Maraschino twine it TIED it all together... (See what I did there... a little twinery pun for ya!!)
Thanks for popping in!!
Other Supplies: Stamps: Mama Elephant Sentiment: SRM Stickers Patterned Papers: Echo Park & Simple Stories
Hi there!
Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make For The Border!
I've used a set from Mama Elephant called Rock And Paws.
I used a really neutral colour palette because this card was for a guy (my Dad!) and I wanted to keep it nice and simple.
The "border" for the Border Challenge was cut with a Cricut.
The little dog was coloured with Copic Markers and to finish it all off I stamped a sentiment from the Technique Tuesday stamp set: Turn Up The Volume!
Thanks for stopping by!
Today I'm playing along with SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes with Lawn Fawn stamps!
This stamp set is too cute and I bought it primarily because of this cuuuuuute Sasquatch!
He's coloured with Zig Clean Colour watercolour markers and a water pen.
I aimed to make this card unisex and achieved that by going monotone with the colour scheme. I did pull out a few different colours and patterns, but I thought he looked great against the green background!
Speaking of green backgrounds... While visiting my parents in Saskatchewan I got to witness the Northern Lights!!!
It was definitely one of the highlights of my year.. So incredible to see them in person.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovable Legends
Dies: Stitched Hillside Borders (Lawn Fawn)
Cardstock: Bazzill
One more hip Father's Day card before the big day!
I went super clean and simple with this one:
My go-to recipe for Dad-cards is this:
1 - start with a graphic piece of patterned paper with a great colour combo (stripes)
2- No colouring, just a cool and funky stamp that will make Dad chuckle.
3- find some twine that coordinates with the colours..
I really love masculine cards... No muss, no fuss!
Have a great Father's Day!
A day to celebrate the special men in our lives - I just wish sometimes I lived on the same continent as my father. I get to see him in a few weeks and THEN I will wish him a Happy Father's Day!!
I think this combo of stamps and patterns is so hipster and I love it! It's not really my dad's style, so I gave these cards to a friend.
By the way.... Have I told you how much I love the Mini-Misti?
I really resisted buying it because it's so expensive here in China, but I literally use it for all stamping now... The placement of the stamps on today's card was so easy because of this tool... Check it out.
Stamps are from these two sets by Technique Tuesday:

Today I am taking part in a fun blog hop with The Twinery and the CardMaker Magazine! After the sad news the other day about Papercrafts it's nice to see we still have a magazine for our industry... Let's keep it that way!
You should have arrived here from Katarina Damm-Blomberg's blog!
My project today is a simple Thank you card that could be given to or given from anyone. I am going to start putting out a little basket of my cards at my school and I want to have some cards there that a guy would feel comfortable giving, and I think this would be one!
The Twinery will be giving away 4 spools of twine - Solid Mandarin, Gold Shimmer, Copper Shimmer, and Solid Maraschino ($60 retail value).
Hoppers can visit the Twinery blog to find out how to enter to win the spools of twine.
Next on the hop is: Piali Biswas - head over there and give her some love!
Well my dear ol' dad turns 64 today and he's quite excited about becoming a senior citizen next year, but unfortunately there's nothing special about turning. 64.... I thought I would make him a card that makes him feel old though, just to get in the mood ;).
I played along with this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and it was a great inspiration to me. I grabbed my watercolors and swiped some green stripes across and yah, that's it!! I did a little paper piecing with the Boob Tubes stamp set and was excited that I had some enamel dots that fit perfectly!! So happy birthday Dad, and I hope you have a great weekend!

It's time again for another fun Naughty Or Nice challenge and this month it's all about the men!
It's the perfect time to get a few Father's Day cards done. If there's one thing I've learned about giving cards to guys: they appreciate a no-fuss card with some fun detail. (They like to try to figure it out.. lol)
So I thought I would go with a clichè tie theme and have a little fun with it.
So I began by stamping a single tie image on green a whole bunch of times. I outlined the ties with a light grey alcohol marker and got to work decorating those ties!
I used a white gel pen and tried to come up with as many silly/funny tie patterns I could think of.
No muss, no fuss with this card. I know someone like my Dad would love this!

Here we are again, and it's time for this month's Blog Hop Challenges to start!! We have four days of awesomeness to share with you, so be prepared for a ton of fun!! Today we are kicking things off with a new set from Torico called Life Is A Circus....so let's get going!
I love it when I have paper that goes with a stamp set perfectly!! Image was coloured with copics and the die cuts are Spellbinders.

We have a really nice CAS sketch up at the Annabelle Stamps blog this week... Here's my card:
I used two new sets: Timeless and BBD8. For the background I stamped the chevrons in Versamark then rubbed PanPastels over the cardstock. The Versamark grabbed on to the Panpastel colour and made the chevrons a lot more visible that if it was just Versamark alone.
Here's the sketch:
We'd love for you to play along! Check out the post here for more details!
Did you know that Technique Tuesday has digital cut files now? I was part of the trials to make sure everything worked well before they were released and I had no problems, whatsoever. I am NOT the type of person that would go through the effort of making a custom cut file, so when a company has a die or a product like this, I am all over it!
Everything was cut with the Silhouette - even the sentiment. I could never fussy-cut that perfectly so this was great. This is a great guy card. I always feel weird giving a man a card with lots of stuff on it - is that wrong?
Supplies:
Flags are Flying stamp set
May Arts Houndstooth Ribbon
Basic Grey Hipster 6x6 Pad
Today we're featuring some classic TSG sets on the TSG Blog and I chose to feature Flava Sava. My dad has always had a moustache, so for me daddys and moustaches go hand-in-hand. He wasn't around on Father's Day, so I'm going to give this to him the next time I see him!
(Check out Sandra's card here.. It totally inspired me.)
Here we are at our first day of April peeks with There She Goes, and we hope you are JUST as excited as we are!! We have four days of hops this month, ending with our release party on Facebook (Saturday, April 27th at 9pmEst), AND the release of the new stamps at 11pmEST after the party. Be sure to hop along all week to get entered to win the giveaways from each day!! For now, let's get to the good stuff!
Here’s my card:
So this is my husband. hahahaha. I told him tonight when I made this card that I’ve found his new “signature stamp” and this guy is it! Trust me, this looks just like him.
It was lots of fun colouring all of his lumpy muscles, I tell ya! Once I coloured him with Copic markers I added some shading with a black pastel chalk pencil.
It took a little begging, but we finally got Torico to illustrate a pirate set for us!! If you “need a little ‘aye’ candy”, well then “X marks the spot”.
Shiver Me Timbers is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $24.00. The new stamps will be available on Saturday, April 27th at 11pm.
I’m sure it comes as NO surprise to all you loyal There She Goes fans, but we couldn’t go without creating a companion set to go along with this SUPER fun set!! Leave it to the Trendsetters to come up with so many FUNNY and AWESOME sentiments that one set just couldn’t hold them all.
Ship Happens is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $9.00. The new stamps will be available on Saturday, April 27th at 11pm.

This week I decided to make a little gift for my brother using this week’s sketch.. Here it is:
I think it’s boy-ish, right? My bro is a fan of my crafty stuff, so I think he’ll like it!
Me likely banners… a lot… I used some MFT and Spellbinders dies to cut ‘em out.
And you know what? When it comes to this gift, it’s what’s inside that counts:
My bro is a sucker for Turkish Delight. (I am too… LOVE the stuff!!)
Here is this week’s sketch:

It’s finally time to share some of the new images that Stampendous! released at the latest CHA. There are a bunch of really cute kiddos hitting the shelves soon and I want them all!!
Here’s a cute little boy card with Doctor Kiddo:
I used papers from Pink Paislee Portfolio collection and they are great for any occasion, but I especially love them for masculine cards. I don’t really like brownish papers, so the hints of grey in the collection are just perfect!!
If you enjoyed today’s post, stay tuned for more and check out the Stampendous blog this week for peeks at the new release!
Hi there! It's been slow here on my blog, but that by no means reflects my life! I just got back from a wonderful weekend of cardmaking with some dear friends and I was able to catch up on a lot of DT work as well as play along with some challenges that I love!
I made this card for the current Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World blog.
I made this card for the current Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World blog.
I used the cute chef image from Bon Appetit and paired it with some lovely fall papers from Simple Stories. The image was coloured with Copic and I added shading with a charcoal pencil. That pumpkin border was cut with a chevron die-namics die. I figured it would make a great border "punch" and it worked!! An SRM sticker sentiment was the perfect finishing touch! (Stickers by The Dozen - Birthday)
Thanks for stopping by!
Our final day of peeks for this month are going to sneak up on you, and make you fall in love. What can we say, these stamps have SKILLZ!!
We have been begging for it, and finally, Torico gave us what we wanted…our very own NINJA set!! From colds to birthdays, this set is sure to kick whatever you need a card for’s butt!!
He seriously could not be any cuter.
I picked some gender-neutral (leaning more towards masculine) papers and kept the layout fairly simple. I always think, if I gave this to a man, would I be embarrassed about how girly it is? This card passed the test.
I coloured him with my copics and added some shadowy details with my trusty Charcoal pencil and blending stump. It really helps the image look 3-D. I can’t stop using it!!!
Ninja Skillz is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 26 stamps and will sell for $24.00.
