This weekend was all about organization for me but I'm glad that I got a chance to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I got three new sets of Tim Holtz distress crayons today (sets 7/8/9) so I thought I would use those as a feature in today's card.

On the left you can see that I just scribbled a bunch of the distress crayons on to the already embossed piece of watercolour card stock. To activate the crayons I used a few spritzes of water and a baby wipe to move the colours around and blend them.

Coffee Makes Us Awesome - Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Who can resist celebrating Coffee AND Autumn??!!

Not me!! That's why I'm joining the fun with the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

I pulled out the ol' Silhouette (and in the process bought a new Cameo, hahaha) and cut myself the coffee cup and sentiment!

This card was heavily inspired by MFT's dies (that I don't have...) and I wanted to make that whipped cream topping extra special. Sooooooo.....

I cut out the shape, slathered it with molding paste, and sprinkled Distress Stickles Rock Candy all over it. Looks good enough to eat, doesn't it?

The sentiment was cut out three times, glued together, then embossed with black EP 3-4 times.

The rest of the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Stash Your Stash Blog Hop

Hi guys! I'm here today with a few of my pals from The Twinery team to show you how we Stash our Stash. I used to have the most beautiful collection of twine on the spools but then I had the bright idea of moving my life half-way around the world!! I had to majorly downsize all of my craft stuff so a new solution had to materialize... That's what I'm sharing with you today!

Everything is stored in this cute little purple tub.

I have a few spools of my most-used twine (kraft, platinum and gold shimmer) and the rest of my shimmer and NEW! twine on top.

And then.... My pretty, pretty twine:

Each bundle is about 50 yards so it's enough to keep me well-stocked for the year. During the summer I go home to Canada and restock!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's time again for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I like to participate because it's a chance to pull out some of my "oldie but goodie" supplies that don't get much love anymore.

So here's my card:

I thought I would do a quick and easy chalkboard image with my treasured There She Goes stamps.

The chalkboard look is fun because you stamp, emboss, and BAM, it's done!

The papers (My Mind's Eye) are from their "chalk studio" line and had these delicious color combos already chosen for me. I just accented the card with some teal twine and pink epoxy stickers...

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I had so much fun participating in the Holiday Coffee Lovers blog hop that I just had to play along with the Spring re-incarnation!! You can find all of the details HERE at the main blog, but basically if you hop along to all of the participants in the Linky you have a chance to win some serious prizes!

The theme this time around is SPRING, so I went with some light, happy colours that help chase those winter blues away.. I know I'm ready for some nicer weather!!

Here's my card... A little watercolouring, a little velum, I love it!!

I stamped all of the coffee cups in Versamark and then embossed them white embossing powder on watercolor paper and got colouring. I used Angora watercolours and a waterbrush to do all of the colouring. It's very relaxing to watercolour - there's no way to really mess it up so I just play!

I love using vellum when I want to add a sentiment on top but don't want to completely cover up the goodness underneath! You can still see the cups shining through, and that makes me happy!
