Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Card

This week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge is "Anything Goes," so here I go!
I had a friend ask to make some wedding cards so I put together this card with some different but complimentary elements...

Altenew's Peony Bouquet stamp set is a sensation and I bought the set before I got a Misti (which really helps) but this flower and leaf was stamped without it.. It didn't turn out too bad, so I used it!

The background was created with varying values of one colour of watercolour paint:

Supplies:
Stamp: Altenew Peony Bouquet
Sentiment: SRM Sticker Stickers By The Dozen - Wedding
Watercolours: Gansai Tambi

Yappy Birthday

I have a quick card to share today using Critters At The Dog Park by Lawn Fawn:

So funny... I set up this shot, took it, thought "OK!" and didn't even look at the crazy twine, hahaha.. I must have been in a hurry that day, right? Anyway...

I hope you're having a great week!! Thanks for stopping by!

You're The Pot Of Gold...

Hi there! I took a much-needed day off yesterday to de-stress and took a little time to play with some new goodies and the current MFT sketch challenge as well as the current MFT Colour Challenge

The background was created by sponging inks through the Chunky Herringbone Stencil.

I coloured the unicorn/Pegasus with Copic markers and added shadows with chalk pencils.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

You Are My Sunshine

Got a lot of them???

Don't use some of them?

Stick 'em on a card!!

I made a custom background by combining different stamps from different sets with the same general theme. I stamped them all with Memento ink and coloured them with Copic markers (which was both therapeutic and fun) and stamped the sentiment in vellum so the little stamps would still shine through!

Stamps: (All Technique Tuesday)
Sentiment: Retired...

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!
To celebrate this happy day I'm sharing my favourite Mother's Day card I made this year. I made a lot of cards this year for my colleagues and friends to send home to their Mommas and it was fun to play around with pretty floral designs and colours.

I feel like Mother's day cards are easy... Flower stamp (Avery Elle), colour it up (watercolours are so on fleek right now), and some pretty accents like The Twinery's delicious twine!

I hope you have a great day with your Moms and/or celebrating with your own kiddies!!

I'm Singing Your Praises

I've just had a very luxurious week off and I've got some much-needed rest and relaxation, and a SWEET NEW TATTOO!!

I sat for 6 hours, the last 2 were quite painful, but it was all worth it to get one of my favourite and most influential singers immortalized on my arm forever!! (Ella Fitzgerald) I was also super excited to get a tattoo while I lived here in China. Something to remember forever...

So while I nursed my throbbing and swollen arm I also got some time to get some just-for-me crafting done!! I've purchased a few new stamps and dies, but also some foil products so I did some experimenting!

I cut out the "Thanks" die with normal cardstock and then covered it in adhesive using the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen. Then, (following the directions on the back) I ran the die, covered with foil, through my die cut machine. To my amazement, it worked!! hahaha...

Using this week's MFT sketch I incorporated the die into the design along with the stamps from Birds of Paradise. I coloured the bird with copics and added some shading with my General's Pastel Chalk pencil and blending stump.

Thanks for stopping by!!
