Fun With Adhesives

This week we’re playing with our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and we DEFINITELY got the better of this bargain!! I use a lot of the 3L products already, so this was a HUGE treat to get a bunch of swag from them!
So I don't know if you know this about me, but I simply cannot make a flat card. If there's layers of patterned paper or an image of any kind, I have to "pop it up." For a long time now I have loved that 3L makes BLACK foam squares... Genius, right? Black/dark projects should have dark adhesives and this is what today's post is alllllllllllllllllllll about.
1.    I started by stamping Cling Holiday Background in white ink on a black tag (I also used a glue pen and added some Black Micro Glitter):

2.    I found a cute sentiment in one of my paper packs and cut it out. On the back I added some black Foam Squares

3.   I then matted the sentiment on some kraft cardstock and added another round of black Foam Squares

4.    After all was said and done, this tag turned out pretty sweet. See what I mean about the black foam dots?! White ones would stick out horribly! ( I made something similar to this for a class I'm teaching at Clipper Street, but I love playing around with different ideas and techniques...)

Of course there will be PRIZES, (admit it, we know you only show up for the prizes!) and we’ve got some terrific ones! WE have three prize packages to give away and they contain some awesome stuff from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Stampendous! You’re going to want to make sure you do your commenting thing this week! We’ll choose three random bloggers at the end of the week and select randomly from the comments on their posts, so be sure to get to everyone!

  4. I admit - the prizes are a draw but I also get so many ideas for my greeting cards and tags that I don't think I'm a "loser" if I don't get lucky and win a prize. I make all of my gift tags so I'm always looking for ideas - I'll be using this one. thanks.
