First Card of 2015

Well it's 2015. Can you believe it?
It sounds so... Futuristic!

As mentioned in my last post, last year royally sucked, so I
am looking forward to what a new year and a fresh start brings.

Usually I write a post where I look back at my projects from the past year (a lot of crafters do it) but
I'm gonna hold off.. First off, it was a VERY slow year for me - 90-something posts compared to
an average of about 200.... That was shocking. Secondly, half the year I was
deeply depressed and under a lot of stress and creative juices were drained. It's almost like
looking back at those months reminds me of the dark times I was trying to work through
and well, I'd rather look to the future!

So.. Here' my first card of 2015:

I made this card for our new challenge over at Naughty or Nice and the
challenge is to use something new... I have a bunch of new products from
Technique Tuesday that I can't wait to break open, so today I used
the dies from the January Memory Keepers Studio set. (Along with some
vintage stamps from There She Goes)

I want to show you the image BEFORE I added shading... I think it makes such
a huge difference when I shade with Chalk Pencils...

And here's AFTER:

That's all for now... Thanks for stopping by and sticking with me through this
rocky year. 2015 I am SO ready for you!!
