The Stampendous January 2014 Catalog is full of new products, innovations, and terrific new designs from the minds of Stampendous including Owner Fran Seiford, and international Mixed Media Artist Nathalie Kalbach. All this genius has brought us some terrific new goodies for 2014 and I've been getting messy!
I broke in my new Inspiration Journal from Donna Downey with some new mixed media stamps.
I used lots of bold and beautiful paints and it turned out so... yummy!! It's all I can say about the colours!!
So first, I stamped some background stamps with versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powders. Then, I dabbed some Distress Paint all over:
Kinda ugly, but I had a plan... Sort of.
I stuck my finger in white paint and started finger painting!
I let the paint dry and thought about my next move... Oh right, expose the embossing!
It took a little elbow grease, but I rubbed a baby-wipe over the embossing and voila, it resisted it!!
So I got to the fun part.. What do I put on top?

DeleteYou made an amazing turn around on this project. I find that it is really the art of it, to turn something that seems ugly into something really transcendent. Excellent!
