This week we are absolutely delighted to be working with the team at TombowUSA, creators of amazing markers and adhesives. Over the last 40 years Tombow has been expanding their flagship line of pencils to include pens, adhesives, and premium markers for all types of artists and art projects.
These markers are waterbased and blended with a blending pen, slightly different than the alcohol based brands our Design Team is used to using these days. This collaboration gave many of them the opportunity to learn something new.
Personally, I was looking forward to working with these markers because I have only coloured with Ranger Distress Markers (water-based markers too) and was frustrated with some aspects of watercolouring with them... I will say this about the Tombow markers: they are lovely to colour with! Bright, bold colours that retain their depth even when blended with water! That was one of my pet-peeves with Distress Markers and I'm glad that Tombow markers offer both depth and blendability... Here's my card:
I stamped the Sweet Sunflower Cling Stamp image with black Archival ink and coloured with Tombows and blended with a waterpen. I absolutely love the results I got, especially on the petals...
Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow for our big blog hop and giveaway!
