We are excited to be back again today here at The Twinery, joining up with Serendipity Stamps for a wonderful 3-day blog hop! Designers from both design teams will delight you with projects created using our fabulous baker’s twine and a variety of products from Serendipity Stamps.
You should have arrived here from: Jeanne Jachna's blog!
Today I've coloured up the beautiful Daylily stamp from Serendipity Stamps:
As usual I sought inspiration from the internet and used this photo as my inspiration for the colours. I used Spectrum Noir markers to colour the image and a black chalk pencil with blending stump to add shadows.
I love using the chalk pencil to add shadows that make the image seem 3-d. It's all about the parts of the image that overlap - add a shadow and it makes them pop!
I also added a lot of texture to the card using various techniques, one being embossing the patterned paper. It's not obvious, but it's a neat tactile detail that's easy to do!
The Twinery Twine used is Matte Black Shimmer.
And as if the inspiration isn’t enough – you can also win a fabulous Sampler Pack of Solid Twines:
