Christmas 2010

I hope you all are having a wonderful time with your friends and family. We enjoyed a very happy and humble Christmas giving each other gifts from the heart and cherishing the time we have together. Sounds cheesy, but this year we were determined to NOT go overboard and teach Phoenix about thankfulness and gratefulness, especially when so many people have less than we do. He was so amazing on Christmas morning, WE had to wake HIM up... AT 10:00 AM!!! I was like, "Phoenix. It's Christmas.. Time to open presents..." He yawned and said, "Okay, Mom. Merry Christmas." Weird kid. I love him.. lol

I'm sharing with you my last Christmas project. (She says with a tear in her eye) Does anyone else LOVE making Christmas projects more than anything else?? I was telling hubby that I'm not looking forward to putting the Christmas stamps and papers away.

This is a little basket I put together for Phoenix's before-and-after-school caregiver. She's an absolute sweetheart and Phoenix LOVES her so I try to make her gifts a little extra special.

Tucked inside this pocket is some specialty tea from David's Tea called Chocolate Chili Chai and let me tell you, it smells and tastes like the most delicious chocolate, but in tea-form!! I've recently become obsessed with tea (I'm starting to depart from my coffee addiction) and I know that Phoenix's caregiver loves Chai and she loves chocolate, so this was the perfect gift. I can't wait to talk to her after Christmas and ask her how she likes it!

So that's it for Christmas stuff.. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!! Take care.

Supplies of note: The pocket and snowflake was cut out of Making Memories patterned paper with the Silhouette digital cutter. I handmade the rosette using the Scor-pal to scor the paper every 1/4 inch.
