SRM Challenge: Birthdays!

So a couple of weeks ago Susan from SRM Stickers asked me to join the new SRM Challenge and of course I said yes! It's a really easy challenge (only once a month) and there are some great prizes involved... Here's this month's theme:
For the month of May, we are looking for any and all projects for BIRTHDAYS!

Here's my card:

I was so quick to join the SRM design team again because I am a life-long fan of the stickers, for sure... I chose an image that doesn't really have an inherent "meaning" so pretty much any sentiment would fit - and that's where SRM comes in. I chose "Happy Birthday" from the sticker set Stickers By The Dozen/Birthday and mounted it on white cardstock. I snipped the ends to make it a banner and bam, done!

Speaking of the image, isn't he adorable??!! I used a digi stamp from Whimsie Doodles called "Gnome Fence" (scroll down a bit and you'll see the gnomes...) and coloured him with my new Spectrum Noir markers. The colours and colour families are certainly different than Copic, but I have found the blendability virtually the same. (Even better than Copic with some colours!) I give them two thumbs up!!
