Did you see my Halloween box the other day? I used some of the same materials to make a cute little tag!
I used the Thinlits Die Set: Spooky by Sizzix to make the vampire (kind of like a paper doll project) and a sentiment from SRM Stickers (Stickers by The Dozen: Halloween).

I couldn't wait to play with the new stamps and had to make a quick tag for valentine's day:
It makes me so happy to sit and colour a nice, uncomplicated image like this. Simple papers, simple layout and a simple colour scheme gives this tag POP.
I felt the background was a little too simple, so I added some Nuvo drops on a few hearts on the patterned paper. It elevates the paper from flat to 3-D with a simple step!

With all of my fun supplies there's no way I BUY my gift tags!! I try to make them cute, but don't go overboard on the techniques... after all, they get used once then they're garbage.. so here are some of the tags I made:
I had some ink sprays on my table from another project so I dragged pieces of paper through the ink and voila, a perfect background!
I dried the strips of paper and cut them into tags and all I had left to do was stamp to/from and add a chipboard piece on each of the tags.
I am a sucker for a cute sheet of Christmas chipboard pieces so I had a lot to choose from.
Here are my favs:
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Hello all! I hope you're having a fantastic weekend wherever you are! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Monday Challenge, and this week it's "Trio-tastic", aka, use three of something.
My three? Three colours of paint.
The great thing about the colours I chose was they blended together to make new colours, (that purple, OMG) so although I started with three, I ended up with a rainbow!!
After the rainbow dried I added some white paint splatters. It's a background that's almost ready for an image!!
I stamped the image in black then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I always had the plan to keep the cattails kind of silhouette-y so black was the right choice.
After watercolouring with black I went around the tags with black acrylic paint, added a little stencilling with gold paint and added a ribbon. I can't wait to give these away!
Supplies used:
Technique Tuesday: Cattails
Paint: Dylusions (red, turquoise) and Prima (gold)
Hi there!! For today's post I decided to get messy and create a mixed media tag - I hope you like it!
Touches of Gold Shimmer twine were used in the cluster and of course, on top!
Thanks for stopping by!!
One of the things that was hard to get used to when we first moved to China was the fact that most things we used/wanted/needed to live like we did in Canada was just not available here.
Toothpaste? Nope...
Deodorant? Not unless you like liquid roll-on
Skin care? Sure! Full of chemicals that whiten the skin...
Crafts? Yes. But you order online and pay over 2x the US price.
I have become very picky about what I buy and then sometimes have to wait 2 months! (Currently I am waiting for the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons that will arrive at the end of April!!) I have become very good at using what I have and making informed, well-thought-out purchases. I was spoiled in Canada by having MANY good scrapbook stores a short drive away.
So... Now when I buy and the get my new stamps in the mail I am SO EXCITED for new things... This Lawn Fawn set (stamped with the new Mini Misti) is my newest thing and it's so cute. So glad I made this purchase.
Tags are such a quick and easy craft. I've never met a tag I didn't like!
This project was for The Twinery and the soft and delicate colours complemented the stamps and papers perfectly.
I used: Blossom, Honeydew, and Buttercream twines and hey!! Did you hear the news??
SPRING CLEANING SPECIAL THIS ENTIRE WEEK!
We have an entire section of twine – all yummy spring colors – already on sale:
Hi there! I'm so happy about today's blog post because I'm playing along with Tracey McNeely and the Technique Tuesday DT for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
I am a lover of Christmas tags and I already have a bunch made for this year's gifts, so today's post was a most welcome assignment!
Here's my tag:
So cute, right?? I used one of the images and sentiment from HOHOHO. It's great for all you colourers out there!
For the background of the tag I used a stencil and some white modelling paste. At first you would think black is a little harsh for Christmas, but it's a great base on which to put lots of bright colours!
Hi there! I love Hallowe'en and especially Hallowe'en crafts but unfortunately I just don't ever have the occasion to give cards to anyone. Tags, however, are handy to have around especially when you can attach them to a big bag of candy...
Here's my tag:
Sadly (or lucky for me...) this is a retired There She Goes set and I'm not letting go.. There are too many cute images in it!
I used mostly pastel chalk pencils to colour the image. The white pencil, in particular, shows up really well on kraft cs...

January's Daffodil - Greenhouse Society stamp set is ready to start shipping and today I'm sharing a cool tag!
Do you know how it feels to make a project and when it's done you're like "OMG this is like, the best thing I've ever made?" This tag is epic, and by that I mean it took me 3 hours but I was obviously thrilled with the result, lol...
The thing that took me a lot of time was the paper-piecing of the flower - but it was funny that it wasn't part of my original plan! I made a mistake stamping and had to cover it up with something... Paper piecing... Gotta love it!
So the background was fun: I coloured it with various Gelatos and baby wipes.
Once I was done I covered the entire tag with DecoArt Ultra Matte Varnish and it did the best thing when I dried it with my blow-dryer: it crackled!! That's what you call a happy accident, right?!
We've got you covered! The Daffodil - Greenhouse Society stamp set is available for purchase by non-Greenhouse Society members for $12.99.
If you like botanical-themed stamps, you may want to consider joining the Greenhouse Society. We release a new stamp set every month as part of this collection. Members get the Greenhouse sets for $9.99 each (plus shipping and handling) and enjoy other benefits. Check out the Membership Agreement and FAQ page on our website for more details on joining the Greenhouse Society.
Technique Tuesday asked me to create something Christmasy with This Tag from the November Fresh Cut Studio set and I put my thinking cap on and came up with these:
And another with a different wood veneer snowflake:
I used the Folding Banner Die for the sentiment and made it pop out a bunch. I love the dimensional effect it gave these little tags! If you can spot the little bit of gold glitter, I die cut the little tag from the folding banner from gold glitter cardstock for a little BLING.
I used the Trendy Trees stamp set for the sentiment. I just LOVE that big "joy!"
