I have been really sick for the last month and it came to a
climax on Monday night when I ended up in the hospital with
an almost-closed throat (asthma and strep combined)
and a cough that wouldn't let up.. I have since improved, but
my energy is drained, and I have had little mojo for
creating, BUT, I've missed making cards so I had to play
a little...
This first card is for the Embellish Challenge:
This challenge requires you to create a project using butterflies. Butterflies may be stamped, die cut, punched or on patterned paper! You can incorporate the theme in many ways, such as a card, scrapbook layout, mini book, tag, gift bag, box, etc. The main colors are highlighted in Polaroid inspired color swatches. Keep the colors of your project as close to the colors in the challenge image. Remember, colors can be incorporated into your project in more ways than cardstock.
All of the colours were added with Copic markers and the airbrush system.
I stamped and cut out a second butterfly which I then doused in glitter,
added some bling, and folded the wings up for dimension.
The colours used were: E31/34 for the "Kraft" colour, and
YG00/21/25 for the green.
The sentiment is an SRM sticker and the butterfly is Unity!
You want a laugh?? This is was first card I made for the colour
challenge:
Do you see any butterflies? No? That's 'cause there aren't any.
It's called, reading the directions, Tobi! C'mon, you're
a teacher for Cripe's sake! (who's cripe??)
Anyway... It turned out to be a pretty sweet card, so I thought
I'd post it. And no, I'm not blonde!!
(I used the same colours as the last card plus
N2/5)
