Hi there! I am here with another look at this month’s Greenhouse Society stamp from Technique Tuesday. Watch the Greenhouse Society section on our Web site for it or talk to your favorite retailer to ask them to get this stamp set in.

The new set starts shipping today so the design team has made another round of creations to inspire you!
Here’s my card:



This set was begging me to do a CAS card so I conceded! Here are the steps I took to create this look:

1. Colour direct-to-stamp with various Distress Markers (water-based markers).
2. Huff (blow warm air, like how your Gramma cleans her glasses) on the stamp and stamp onto the paper. Incidentally I used Bazzill “Double-Thick” paper. It’s not watercolour paper, but it doesn’t wilt when a little water is used…
3. Allow the image to dry completely.
4. Scribble a little of the red colour onto a craft mat or slippery surface. Pick up the colour with a water pen and colour in the image. Do the same with the mustard colour in the center.

Funnily enough the lines didn’t smear when I applied the colours with the water pen, but that’s because I did it very quickly and I wasn’t doing any blending or anything. Just a really quick application of colour.

I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and coloured with Ranger Distress Markers. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! Once I was done colouring I added some shading with a charcoal pencil and blending stump. I used a bunch of My Mind’s Eye papers in the background… Kinda bright, right?? AVERT YOUR EYES!!

Hey there! I'm here with another cute cute cute Stampendous card!

















Isn’t she sweet?? I coloured the image up with Copic markers and cut it out with a Nestabilities die. I then added a little bit of glitter glue and set it aside to dry.





For me glitter and Christmas go hand-in-hand. SO… When deciding on what to do for the background I pulled out my Shabby White Embossing Enamel and the star stamp from Jumbo Sparkle Joy Set.



This particular embossing enamel is SO sparkly in real life and it’s great for Christmas, it's a white base with gold embossing powder and gold GLITTER! Nice! So I stamped the star with Versamark ink, sprinkled the embossing enamel on and heated it up. Once cooled I misted the cardstock with various mists and since embossing enamel serves as a resist it stayed nice and bright!



To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from ‘Tis The Season and cut out a banner. Thanks for joining me today!

This is new BasicGrey stuff right here. In the past I have hoarded chipboard elements because normally there's only ONE of each thing in a pack. What if I need that one thing in the future? It will be gone!! 

Isn’t it gorgeous? I had a great time colouring it up. One thing I love about this set is it’s kind of two flowers in one, right? As a whole it’s tulips, but if you isolate just the blooms it could be poppies! I’ll try that next time! For now, here’s my card:



I paired it with some new My Mind’s Eye papers.. So. In. Love. Anyway.. I coloured the image with Copic markers and added some shading with my charcoal pencil and blending stump. **Note: the die cut was cut out first with my Silhouette. I don’t usually cut out the shape first, but I downloaded some cute labels and wanted to use them, so this is what I came up with. It kind of forces me to use my Silhouette because lately it’s been gathering dust.

Hi there! Today I coloured up Tiger Baby with Copic markers and paired him with a sentiment from Stampendous' Perfectly Clear set called Friendship Assortment.

So you’re my guinea pigs today! I have seen a new colouring technique pop up here and there and I thought I would give it a shot and show you my results. This is the first time I’ve tried it, so go easy on me, ok??
Here’s the deal. Stamp with light ink:



I stamped this image with “Scattered Straw Distress Ink” by Ranger. Yes Distress Inks work with Copics! I coloured two images at the same time in case I really screwed up – and I did – and I found out that you need to keep it light in order to 1) see the lines of the image and 2) keep the colours defined.



Here he is all completed. It’s a much more subtle effect and it almost looks like I could have drawn him by hand – even though there’s NO WAY. Ever!



A couple tips I picked up: you have to go over some elements with darker ink so they stand out (whiskers, eyebrows, shadows…), using my grey/black charcoal pencil technique doesn’t work! ( I used a brown chalk pencil instead).

Hi there!!! Can you believe it's Friday again already? WOW!! Where is August going?  I hope you're all enjoying it as much as we are. 
This week we are featuring  Mary Brown (stampercamper @ SCS) and is based on this card.
I decided to do a NO STAMPING card. All of the magazines nowadays are full of cards with no stamping and it’s a no-stress easy way to make a pretty card. Check mine out:
 


I used My Mind’s Eye patterned papers, twine and coordinating chipboard elements. I sewed around the outside because after I assembled everything it didn’t have that personal touch.

Distress Markers are water-based markers so you must colour on watercolor paper- which I love because of its fabulous texture. To accentuate the shadows and really enhance the depth in the image I used a charcoal pencil and blending stump on top of the image once the colouring was complete. Here's a close up:



You may also notice that I sponged some clouds in the background with Broken China Distress Ink, I always add something to the backgrounds of my images.. They just don't look right unless they're in some kind of setting.
