Hi there! This week the team from Stampendous! is joining forces with the people from Clearsnap.
Rich, bright pigment inks from Clearsnap have long made embossing with Stampendous premium embossing powders simple. The slower drying time of pigment ink is perfect for holding embossing powders to paper while heating with an embossing heat tool. Pigment inks are also gorgeous for colorful, fade-resistant stamping, but the slow drying quality requires some patience and on some surfaces they will never dry.So I did a little playing around with the pigment inks on "Specialty Stamping Cardstock" from Ranger. The super-smooth surface of the paper let me blend the inks around until I got the look I was desiring...
I divided my Cat-eye inks into two different colour schemes and started to play.
I added colour direct-to-paper but also used some sponge daubers to blend.
This is how the blue one came out... I ended up liking this one better than the red/green one so I continued on to making this into something!
As mentioned earlier, on some surfaces pigment ink won't dry. So before I stamped the image, I covered the whole square with Detail Clear Embossing Powder. Once the embossing cooled off, I wiped of the remaining ink with a baby wipe and was left with those cool white spots. Then, I stamped Cling Rocking Horse in black pigment ink and embossed that again.
This came out pretty sweet! Thank you Clearsnap for your generosity!!
