Good morning! Today is the beginning of a very strange times at the Tobi household... I just sent Phoenix (my 9 y/o son) off with my parents to stay with them FOR A WHOLE MONTH! They live thousands of kilometers away now (as you may remember from a few posts back) so I will have no chance to hug him until mid-August.. Thank goodness for Skype, though right? I’ll still be able to see his face and vice versa… Any sympathy is appreciated.. hahaha
Todays card… It came about for two challenges: the first challenge is this week’s Make it Monday challenge “Dry Brushing” and the second is today’s Ways to Use it challenge “ heavy metal.”
As Lisa did in the video, I dry-brushed first, then stamped the sheet music BG. I used some of my favourite PTI colours: Hawaiian Shores (ribbon), Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist and Kraft. For the “Heavy Metal” challenge I added a metal/rhinestone brad to the centre of the flower. The sentiment is SRM and it’s from a new set of stickers called We’ve Got Your Sticker – Forever. Sentiments for wedding cards – yay!
Also… I went to my LSS to pick up a copy of the July Cards magazine and was thrilled to see this:
Of course I knew my card was going to be in Cards, but I didn’t know what issue.. It was originally supposed to be in June, but when it wasn’t I just figured they’d put it in a later month and here it is!
Thanks for stopping by – have a great day!
