Santa Wreath

This week the Stampendous! design team is playing with products from DIY Bangles to make fantastic jewelry and home decor items! Their adorable beads and bangles can make fabulous Christmas gifts for the folks you love this holiday season with very little trouble. And they also have a delightful product they call 3 Ring Circles that make adorable home decor pieces.

Today I made a project with one of the floral rings and had a blast.

I took 4 pieces of 12x12 double-sided patterned paper and cut them into 6x6 sections. I rolled them into cones and adhered them with Sookwang double-sided tape… (if you're on Pinterest, check out this Pin that was my inspiration!) Those bad boys aren’t going anywhere now!
Once I finished rolling all of the cones, I inked the edges and added some Shaved Ice just on the edges with liquid adhesive:

I covered the ring with Sookwang tape and pressed the cones into place. I used all but two cones. A fellow DT member said this project would be hard for her because she hoards her paper (and I do too), but you know what?? I’ve had this paper for 4 years now I think (it’s old BasicGrey) and I was finally able to let go of it. ha! Aren’t we silly?? I will be able to enjoy this wreath for years to come and I’m glad I used it!

In the center I made a focal point with some coordinating BasicGrey stickers and favourite of mine: Cling Jumbo Vintage Santa! (I’ve linked a store that has it in stock and I’m sorry if they’ve sold out by the time you click it. This stamp is completely sold out everywhere else, so if you want it, GO NOW!!)

I coloured dear Vintage Santa with Distress Markers (video coming soon!) and put him smack-dab in the middle!
Head over to the Stampendous Blog to see more creations with DIY Bangles. So much fun!
