House-Mouse with Sparkle

Hi there, I have a Blogstar post up at the Stampendous! blog today.

I have some crafty friends that believe a Christmas card isn't a Christmas card without glitter. Now whether you believe that or not it can't hurt, right?

Today I'm using an image featuring Monica Mouse:

Often times I've coloured an image and a couple things go through my head:

Should I add glitter to the snow on the ground?
Should I add glitter to the sky?
Should I add glitter to the background papers?

Today I did all three:

So after colouring I got out my glue pen and added some glitter to the ground with Ultra Fine Crystal Snow Glitter. That wasn't enough though!

I was taking a look through my stamps and came across the Cling Jumbo Penguin Snow stamp set that includes this stencil... SNOW!!

I used the Boss Gloss dabber through the stencil and sprinkled on some Crystal Embossing Powder, then heated it with my heat tool. (I also dragged the dabber along the edges of the image and embossed that too!)

Next came the patterned paper:

Plain. No glitter. I stamped the snowflakes from Cling Jumbo Penguin Snow with Boss Gloss and embossed with Crystal Embossing Powder.

Here's the final result:
