Easter Boat - tutorial

I'm having a nice, relaxing Easter weekend so far, how 'bout you?! As part of our Easter festivities we (Phoenix, Ian and I) visit with our families and friends and I love to bring along special little treats. I photographed a little tutorial showing you what I made with a toblerone box:

1. Empty box and take out all of the white chocolate Toberlones for those who do not like it.. (I love white chocolate, but I guess people on my husband's side do not!!)

2. Cut off the top leaving the bottom 3 inches high.

3. The box just happens to be 12 inches long, so choose your patterned paper and cut a strip of paper measuring 12x3.5. I used a Marvy edge punch that allows me to thread ribbon through the slots.

4. Thread ribbon through slots!!

5. Attach paper to box using strong adhesive - I used Sookwang tape.

6. Decorate as desired! I turned a pennant into a little flag and glued it to a bamboo skewer so it kind of looks like a little boat.

Supplies: Papers: Jillybean Soup "Egg Drop Soup", Making Memories; Stickers: Jillybean Soup "egg", Making Memories "flowers" and SRM stickers "easter blessings"; Ribbon: May Arts; Punch: Marvy.

  1. adorable and great way to upcycle...I love Toberlone even though I haven't eaten them much...I used to eat them when I was a kid and lived in Germany!
