TSG June Release Day 3: Cute as a Button


Thank you SO much for participating in all the blog hop challenges so far this month, TSG FANS ROCK!!
Today's set illustrated by the EVER fabulous Torico will DEFINITELY appeal to the crafter in you...and we can't WAIT to see your reaction, so let's get to it!!  What can we say about this new set from Torico other than…it’s Cute As a Button?! The perfect sewing set for ANY crafter, full from top to bottom, end to end, with as MANY stamps as you could POSSIBLY need to make the perfect card or scrapbook page, this whimsically cute set is sure to have EVERYTHING you need to celebrate the crafter in your life!


I had a great time putting this card together. It was one of those instances where I had NO idea what images I'd use, what papers I'd use... ANYTHING! So it began with me stamping the background with cream ink: 


There are a bunch of long border-type stamps that I like to use for backgrounds. I never know how to use borders as borders, so that's what I do! Then I stamped the main image and it just took off after that.. luckily! lol.. 


I had to sew on the card (with this set how could I NOT?) so once the image was all coloured up I sewed along the top of the panel.. twice! 


Cute As a Button is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 33 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

      This is such a cute set and I love what you did with it! That border makes a perfect background pattern - I thought it was patterned paper. LOVE the stitching too!
